WTB: 2001 - 2005 197 or 190....need help!

Hi.

Hoping to get on people's radar in case you hear of something that you think might fit the bill. A little background first:
1. I had a 2007 197TT and sold it before moving to Cali.
2. Bought a 2011 197TT last year upon returning from Cali.
3. Have 2 small kids and couldn't justify the 2011...so, we just sold it last week :-(
4. I have been totally spoiled but know there are a lot of great boats out there!

What we're looking for:
A. Ideally a 197 b/c of the kiddos!
B. Low hours and/or babied
C. Very important, a colour scheme that passes the "fashion police" aka my wife.....must be black, blue or white hull (not important to me). Note, she fell in love with our last 2 boats which were white hull with red and black accents.
D. Something on the east coast unless shipping can be figured out.

Questions:
1. Would you wait for the fall until the new 197 comes out?
2. Do you think I'll have a better selection in the fall....or, do you think the year/range I'm looking at it won't make that much of a difference?!
3. Can you talk to my wife about the whole colour thingy....making my search that much more difficult :-)

Rick-

The title of the thread indicates he wants to move to an older boat, so I'm guessing the cost of the 2011 was too much b/c of kids but loves the hull and not the payments?

Also confused

My guess is that he thinks the price of the current hull may drop a bit when/if the new hull is introduced.

Clarification, I want to move to an earlier model....to save some cash. My question with the 2014 coming out (again, I will not be buying) is whether the 2014 will be enough to get people out of their older boats. Basically, is it worth it to wait until the fall?

Memo, maybe I can have your boat and you take your old boat back from Tammy?!

Rick, this may be a little premature but saw your thread and thought I'd post what I'm considering. I have an '05 197 TT with 315 hours on the MCX and ZF Hurth 1:26 tranny. Excellent condition and loaded with all the options.

Considering upgrading to an X2 for more room for my growing family. I'm located in Kansas however. If interested in learning more, send me a PM. Thanks.

Amazing boat Eric; that thing is sweet! Looking for mid $20s which puts me out of the running. Should have put that on my write up as well. Might end up in a 190 which would be great as well. Thanks everyone and please keep your ears open. Rick-
