Dale Hollow is amazing. Mitchell creek has smaller family type houseboat. Sulfur creek has nice boats. The lake is quiet and perfect for water sports. Lot of marinas with places to eat. I was just there last year.

Seriously it is a terrific lake ... but remember half of the lake is in dry counties so no opportunity to buy beer

Thats all changed over the past few years. Sulpher just built a new full servkce bar and most marina sell beer.

As to the lake...The Hollow is less crowded and has far fewer big cruisers so not as rough. Water clarity is about the same and as far as coves go...there are plenty.

Cant go wrong with any of our east tennessee lakes.

Been going to Dale Hollow 3 or 4 times per year for over 15 years. Variety of houseboat, cabins on the water. Sunset is a great marina but they k ow it and charge a premium. Eastport has the best houseboat by far on the lake at the best prices but they are at the very least end of the lake. You can't go wrong at Dale Hollow though.
