Daily driver advice sought

Looking at a fully loaded 2016 Kia Optima EX with 24k miles and a 2017 Chevy Malibu LT with 15k miles. Malibu has everything Kia has except moonroof, dual climate, memory seating and navigation. Both are cosmetically in great shape and at same price. Car will be daily driver in city and will need to take me on a four hour interstate trip 6 times a year. Any advice on which car?

Currently in 2010 Accord EX-L sedan but tired of hard seats and road noise

Test drove a 2016 Mazda 6 and if she didn’t seem a bit cramped for my frame, she would have been the one.

Bought my wife a 2013 Kia Sportage EX earlier this year. On the plus side, the car is quick (really peppy for a mid size SUV) and fun to drive. Has every feature known to man. All good. Has a nice tight driving feel. However, it's a bit noisy on the highway. Wind noise. It's possible they improved that in the later models.

My dad has the Hyundai version of the Kia...limited, fully loaded out. Really nice car as far as details and finish.

Here's the problem, it is not incredibly comfortable. We take it on trips about ten times a year for work and it gets a little uncomfortable after about 2 hours and pretty bad after about 4. Daily driver around town it would be great but I don't know about a travel car. I would probably just rent something else for those long trips.

why not look for a super clean low mileage camry or Avalon. won't take such a huge hit on resell down the road.

^^^ Have to agree. Camry/Avalon or Lexus (but probably too much on Lexus).

I like the Malibu’s. Wouldn’t ever buy a Kia honestly.

My brother had a Hyundai Genesis coupe in college, and it was super nice. Got in a 30mph-ish head on collision and he walked away. I really enjoyed that car. Felt like good quality for the price. (Not recommending you the coupe, just a testament)
