Replacement Speaker for MC tower cans???

I am looking to replace my stock '02 Clarion Marine CM1632 component speakers in my X30. This will be my winter project along with re-wiring all the speakers. I want to keep the stock OEM tower speaker cans that I have. Therefore, I will need a 6.5" mid-range and 1.5" dome tweeter to fit into these cans.

What have people used so far? BTW - I am powering the 4 tower component speakers and the 4 boat component speakers with a Kicker KX850.4. Each pair of CM1632s are wired in parallel.

I want to do the same with my 4 tower speakers. Changed the lowers w/ 6 jl audio separates they sound great. Was thinkink about using jl's new 6.5 cockpit speakers and just killing the tweaters up there. Ill bet they would still sound far better than the clarions there now.

Have 2 jl slash 2-300 amps powering the tower now, still does'nt help those clarions

I have got a set of four OEM tower speaker cans for my 03-X30, for sale. They need a little TLC, but still look pretty good. I replaced them with a set of diamond Audio Combo speakers from Wakeside.com.

By the way, the tweeters are still good and I'll throw them in with the speakers. Everything $100.00.
