X24 Debut at Lake Martin (AL)

Skier's Marine is having a get together at Chuck's Marina (near their Dadeville location) this Saturday from 11-2. Apparently they will have an X24 in the water. Free food and t-shirt. I plan to go and check out the boat and maybe meet some fellow TTers.

I wish Chuck's had better pizza. It would make the 45 minute run from River North to there more appealing. We'll be up there but wont make it over to see the new boats.

i'm not sure what our lake plan(s) is this weekend. I'll be wifeless since she's having surgery in the morning. Playing it all by ear. And as Tim (the other Tim) pointed out...it is a long ride from River North to there.

I figured I would go by road. I don't play dodge the supercell in the Summer, so too far by boat. Learned that lesson years ago after spending four hours at a friendly strangers dock and house and coming back in the dark (another thing I hate).

I saw that boat when they had it at their Atlanta store. Itís a BIG boat!!!! There is a new storage compartment in the walk thru that you can put your life jackets in to get warmed up from the heat of the engine. What will they think of next

Cobalt actually had a "life vest dryer" as they called it. A mesh storage area in one of the rear hatches that promoted the same concept. Use heat from the engine to dry out your PFD's. It was on my 2004 Cobalt 240. It's in the boattest video too. Copycat league, like the NFL

My buddy's 2006 Malibu 247 has the same "heating tray" above the engine. I can't wait to hear more about this X24 and see it in action.
