Bring a spare prop and changing tools. 2 out of our 3 boats dinged props last week at Powell

I hate hearing that! We leave in 2 weeks and we go around the 4th of July every year. The lake is down 13 feet at this time from where it was last year.

still 10' higher than last time I went... last year was pretty good.

Have you had any problems with all the muscles? With cooling system or attached to your boat? Have been hearing they are pretty bad and now are covering the walls because the water level dropped.

It not quite that bad ...
The real issue is if you Boat is in the water all summer and poorly maintained.

Yes, in some areas the canyon walls are coated with mussels. I was at Bullfrog in April - upstream from Bullfrog most of the canyon walls are covered with them. It created a gray “ring” around the lake, about 10 feet high above the water line. Pretty sad to see. Powell will never be the same. Still one of my favorite places to be - but forever changed.
