Jabsco LT1 Raw water pump

Old Jabsco raw water pump is wobbling so time to replace. Has anyone tried the Jabsco 50410-1201 pump? It's specified for the larger 454 C.I. engine, but it looks like the only difference is the 1201 is full cam and the stock one is half cam. Meaning as sold the 1201 delivers more water/ RPM. Does anyone know if one could simply swap the cams and be good to go? Reason for the effort is a $243 dollar difference for a Jabsco pump or $123 if one switches to a Johnson pump.

1994 Prostar although decal calls it a Protour w/ Chev 350 C.I. LT1 motor.

Thanks for any thoughts

Lee
