I have a 95 Maristar. I basically made a 8" high box out of 1" thick PVC. It would only take a few hours if you have a table saw. I screwed it together with deck screws. I've used it for a few seasons and it's solid as a rock. Won't rust and didn't have to paint it.

Sorry I can't post pics as my boat is 1 hour away...hope this idea helps!

Some people have been asking for pics of how I raised the driver's seat. Here you go. I raised it about 8". I could have raised about 7" and been good....

Does your seat have play in the rotation? I never rotate my seat and was thinking of installing a bolt/nut when the rotation lock is.

my seat doesn't rotate. Sounds like a good idea if you don't use the rotation.

Mine was raised when I got it. Wasn't sure at first, but I like it. My wife is 5'3" so it really helps her out.

raise set option

I wonder if I could use something like this to raise my seat. Then it could swivel too! Or would this just look ghetto?

Thought about doing something like this on the 04 x-star and putting a small slide out drawer type thing in there to hold a wallet or cell phone.

I went the easy & less work route for my wife and ski buddies that are all five feet five or less years ago. Their product(s)work great and are real weather proof.

I / we got real tired of the throw cushion not fitting the seat and sliding around all of the time.

That's a great tip Patrick. I went to take a look at bolsterbuddy.com and they look like the ticket to ride for me. I am going to go ahead and order one up. No more sitting on my square floatable device for me.
