The Jacket Rack-It

Anybody else seen this contraption advertised? The tag line: "IT'S LIKE A WAKEBOARD RACK - BUT FOR YOUR LIFE JACKETS!"

http://www.jacketrackit.com/

Looks like a decent idea, but I wonder how it works in real life.

Good idea if you ask me. Only downside I would see is if you tie up to another boat.

A brushed aluminum option would be awesome but don't think it will fit on my ZF4....

The way it’s hanging in the picture the buckles and zippers on those jackets may do some cosmetic damage to the boat when “blowing in the wind”

Would work with the boat sitting still but I would expect a lot of spray coming off the bow to keep them nice and wet. I'll stick with tossing it on the bow floor to dry or clamping it in the rack.

Seems like a glaring problem of now you've got racks hanging outside of your boat that you can't swing in. I'd hate to pull in at a raft up next to that guy...

Life jackets being around the boat are the least of my problems. Usually I just toss them into storage if they're that big of a pain, and hang them up later to dry when I'm done with the boat.

A cold life jacket isn't really a big deal. Just jump in the water first if it's that big of a deal, right?
