RGIII is as awesome as promised, though he struggled a bit against the Ravens. He'll be a superstar if he doesn't get hurt bad. This is the first year that the Redskins have been fun to watch since.... hmmmm... probably 1991.

The other rookie QBs at Indy, Seattle and Miami are looking pretty sharp too.

I never thought the Eagles would sink to such depths. But I am pleased.

Playoff picture: I need the Redskins to win out, someone to beat the Giants (Falcons?) and/or some losses by Chicago or Seatlle.
Chicago is taking care of you.

NFL: The Patriots Cheated

New England coach Bill Belichick was fined the NFL maximum of $500,000 Thursday and the Patriots were ordered to pay $250,000 for spying on an opponent's defensive signals.

Commissioner Roger Goodell also ordered the team to give up next year's first-round draft choice if it reaches the playoffs and second- and third-round picks if it doesn't.

"This episode represents a calculated and deliberate attempt to avoid longstanding rules designed to encourage fair play and promote honest competition on the playing field," Goodell said in a letter to the Patriots.

That happened in 2007 and was what amounts to a broken rule and perhaps a grudge. They filmed games? Everyone films the games. They got fined for a) filming the games from an unapproved vantage point b) filming the sidelines to see what the other team was doing during the game -- what they were doing in plain sight, by the way and c) for doing this after a memo was sent around saying don't do this anymore. Broke the rules? Absolutely. Justly punished? Maybe, although it hasn't stopped them from winning. Cheaters? Don't believe the hype. It's a slippery slope and pretty much everyone in life is a cheater if this is the standard to base it on.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Bitter Vikings fan. Everyone knows that all teams were doing it. Like to point out that the fine and loss of draft choices did nothing to weaken the team. I bet dimes to donuts that couldn't have been said had it happened to many other teams.

JAJAJAJAJAJAJA. You know darn well all teams were doing it, so it's kind of a mute arguement.

I guess I can't argue with that.

I just scored tickets to the Seahawk/San Fran game, which was moved from 1:15 PST to now 5:20 PST for t.v. ratings... yeah buddy!!! Go Hawks! Gonna be an awesome matchup for 1st place in the West, as long as the Hawks take the Bills, and Brady and Co.
take the 9ers...
