Thanks

I was amazed how well the gelcoat came back. Especially on the transom. I also have the teak getting it's last coats of oil right now and it looks pretty good. She is not new, but now looks pretty good for a 1996.

Still, wipe down the decal area with lacquer thinner or alchohol before putting the decals on.
Whatever you do, don't use laquer thinner to wipe down, alcohol is ok though.

I used pure acetone before putting my new decals on. No pics, sorry. You have to make sure that it is the pure acetone, not something you would get at the local pharmacy. Those have oils for restoring your nails. Not good for decal prep. It leaves a film that will prevent good adherence, is that the word? to the gel coat. I got the pure acetone at a beautician supply store.

Man its been a long time since ive seen a JOA marine sticker..
I had a few boats from them in the past.. Cool to see how far a boat travels over its life
