Question TACHOMETER - What do you guys think?

The last week of the season my tachometer began to read incorrectly, but I noticed that the RPM's on my Perfect Pass display appear to be correct. 93 LT-1

Gauge failure?

My '92 has the same issue (351, not the LT-1).I also assumed gauge failure for the original VDO tachometer.
I checked connections on back of tach and the 4-6-8 switch on the back as well with no luck. It still reads incorrectly (low). Perfect Pass RPM's are correct.

I had the same problem with my 93 LT1 tach. Replaced ground and cleaned all ground connections to back off gauges and that fixed it. 25 years those nuts have never been off, there was a layer of something on them enough to effect the ground.
