You are doing a great and commendable job saving this old boat... It sounds like you have only replaced one stringer, I would warn you to replace the other one as well. I cant' imagine there is much left to the 2nd one. I am assuming you've drilled holes and tested it along the length? anyway, it would seem foolish to put a new floor in and engine and all to have to rip it all out in a year or 3. you would think that yellow pine will last at least 10-15 years right? meanwhile the other side is 38 years old.
