What do you mean by crossover point?

Normally when Im not surfing the tabs disengage when I reach 16mph. when surfing one you are close to the surf speed, the tabs that aren't used for surfing start retracting.

Maybe I needed to adjust my Crossover speed a bit lower so it would disengage earlier

I always disliked the TABs deployed when turning back to pick up a rider
It would be very hard to turn to the opposite side that the tabs are deployed too because they are dragging in the water. Idk how you did that.

Oo okay I see what yall are saying. For surfing though it is a lot different than when you are getting on plane for a normal ride. Since I'm only going 10.8 for surfing I find that when I reach 10.5 the start to retract.

Auto launch is great for surfing especially when the boat is loaded down with people. it really helps get you on plane quick.

We just took delivery of our X23 this weekend and when the guy was going over all of the stuff he said just to leave the auto launch engaged. It didn't seem to take much longer than our X30 w/o auto launch for the wake to shape up. Maybe this coming weekend we'll play around with it and see if there's difference positive or negative.

We use auto launch for surfing, find the wave gets perfect faster, rider does not have as much white wash and the back side of the wave to make it over. FYI, X46, stock ballast, usually 10 people on board, and beer.

I just Found this thread. I’m trying to find out exactly what auto launch is. I have a NXT with gen 2. Is the auto launch the same as my center tab?. I’m guessing there is some fancier aspect to it on a xt or x series, maybe automatically sets? But is my manually adjusted center tab the same concept?

I was told my center tab is there to help me plane out. I can just leave it deployed if I’m cruising from one of of lake to other? I guess depending on speed or weight onboard. There’s a lot more to this boat than my old 06.

You donít have auto launch on the NXT. It is a program that utilizes all three tabs.

Yeah you can use the center tab to get on plane. Helps a lot! You can also keep it deployed when youíre running around from one lake to the other. I use it at about 65% when cruising for a while.

Seems like thats a lot to have the plate down when cruising. But it seems like it would help keep the bow down and make for a smoother ride. Could you damage something with the tab down that much? Or could you possibly damage the tab itself?
