Need a windshield for 95 prostar 205

Looking for the passenger side glass for a 92-95 model 205. If anybody has had that piece made, please pm me with who and how you did it.

Aren't we all.

Ocean Dynamics http://www.oceandynamics.com/ will make a single window.
Oem glass is, extremely expensive. They recommend, polycast, which is the way I'm going.

Haven't sent it in yet. Got side tracked, when I found a salvage boat on craiglist. He wanted to much for, and would not part-it out.

Will be taking it apart, this weekend, and start the process. They said, about 6 week turn around, during slow periods.

I may post a thread on the process. Weird how, I keep coming across 205s needing portside curve window.

I am seriously thinking of making some kind of guard for long trips with my boat... prolly will be plexi glass - just need an simple way to mount without stress frame or drilling...

I did find the cause of the shatter. If you look closely, the the frame, where the support piece is attached to the frame (top) You will notice, the screw have deformed the rubber gasket. I'm pretty sure, when I tighten the screws (a few days prior to incident) I screwed them in, till they touched the glass. Causing stress risers. The travel home, was just enough, to cause the explosion of glass. A thrown rock, didn't cause it.

You may want to measure the length of your mount screws, and file them down. Since a number of 1992-1995 205 owners are having the same problem. I suspect, Mastercraft used the wrong length screws.

I have talked to them, Taylor and marine glass specialties. I can't figure out how to measure it. I wonder if they would make us a deal if they made 2?
