WTB: Maristar 230 or similar
Hey guys. In the market for a Maristar 230 or something similar. I will probably have to get something a little older due to funds. Don't want to spend over $23K turn-key. Anybody know of anyone trying to sell theirs?

98 Maristar 225
Hogwild,
I don't know where you are located, but I know of a 98 Maristar 225 Sport in immaculate condition for sale in Tulsa Oklahoma. It belongs to a good friend of mine - I think you can see the ad at Tulsa World Classifieds (not sure of URL, may have to google it). I think he is asking 21,900 His number is 918-742-2524 |

So I figured that this time of year I would start to see a lot more older model maristars 98-2001 become available. Did they not make that many back then or is it just that people are hanging onto their toys?

I did an all search on crags list and found mine, but I was lucky as they only built the 240SC for 3 years and that's the exact boat I was looking for. Keep at it, you'll find one.

So does the Spring or the Fall bring more boats to the selling market? I always assumed it would be the Spring. |

More so in the fall I would say, but if you are looking for a 230 that price range is going to be tough.

i watched CL, ebay, boat trader, etc., for about 9 months with the funding available for only the last 3 months. when i make a big purchase i start looking early so i get a "feel" for the market and i can recognize a good deal when i see it. i also timed it so i would make the purchase in the winter. i always try to buy my water toys in the winter due to seasonal pricing. there were definitely more to choose from last sep/oct/nov. i am surprised we're not seeing more boats on the used market as it starts to warm up. this may be due to the fact that the new(er) boats are so expensive that folks are hanging on to their used boats longer. i think this is also keeping the price of used boat elevated.
its crazy but in my search i would find ads from a few years ago and they seemed to always be cheaper than the current ads. good luck. post any potential boats on this site and you will gets lots of opinions. |
