Steering cable replacment 2005 x10

Anyone change a steering cable on a v drive ? Does the cable need to be taken out to find out length? Or is 19ft standard for this boat ?

I have the same boat. I changed my steering cable 4 years ago but dont remember my steering cable length. I bought my new one from skidim. You can call them and they will know the exact length which is what I did. Pretty easy to change yourself.

Did mine last year. Order replacement from skidim. Tie rope to old one. Pull old cable out, rope in. Tie new cable to rope and use rope to pull new cable in
