Pretty sure we just use Banana Boat SunComfort or Sport (both 50+ SPF). Just lotion, not the spray stuff. No sunburns, tattoos not faded, and still very tan. I don't understand trying to mess with the sun when it's so cheap to protect yourself.

I am very fair skinned and freckley and use Sun Bum or Blue Lizard and rarely ever get burned. Key for me is to put on a good layer of lotion before I get in the water, wait at least 30 min to get in, and apply spray sunscreen a few more times. Also wear an Oneil long sleeve sun shirt most of the time while in the boat.
