Not sure on the price, but the pics make me grateful I have a decent size garage.

Looks pretty clean. I've not heard of the "slider" thing before. Better check he's not a fan of the power turn! Has the larger engine which is desirable. Looks like everything is stock and not messed with except for the upgrade to Perfect Pass. I've spent quite a bit of money refurbishing old trailers so the new trailer is a nice bonus. For this time of year the price is in the right ballpark. Good luck!

Essentially I have the same boat, but 2006. It was very clean with 300 hours two years ago when I paid 32K for it. The owner just wanted it sold fast, so I benefited. There are some easy upgrades that make that boat more up to date - speaker grills, Gatorstep flooring, steering wheel, stereo upgrades, piggyback bags. The local MC dealer tells me that I could sell it today somewhere between 45-50K, which is hard for me to believe. I feel 40K is reasonable. If there are no other good options for you, maybe 42-43K.

No matter what, you'll need a lot of cash for this purchase. I think you'll find that a bank will not lend you very much for that boat. It might not be more than 25K, so check into that first if you’ll be financing any of the purchase price. Otherwise I’d lay down 40K cash in front of him and try to close the deal. That X30 is a great platform in my opinion.

Thoughts on this info from the seller?:

Has the boat ever been in saltwater? The guy I bought it from used it a little in saltwater. He is very well off and had it flushed and wiped down by a boat mechanic each time he went out. He was very anal about that. I only used it in fresh water. By the way it has closed loop cooling, so the lake water only cools the exhaust manifolds.

I bought my 06' X30 5 yrs ago with 550hrs for $42k. I was hesitated on the hours but it was used mainly for wakeboard so it had minimal "party" wear and tear. It has turned out to be a great boat turning 860hrs last season.

Your boat in question sounds like a fair deal. It depends on how it looks in person. I live 30mins from Kokomo if you want a second option in person. PM me if I can help

With the 6.0L, Perfect Pass, Cockpit Table, Bow Filler Cushion, 4 tower speakers (only one amp it looked like), onboard charger, center wake plate, slalom extension arms on the rack fingers, hot shower, this boat was heavily optioned in 2007 and these things all add value over 95% of the other boats of this vintage.

$45,000 seems like a smoking deal to me. Whoever said their dealer thought $45-$50k for this boat is right-

The "Slider" is the graphics package for this era of boats. It denotes the vertical line 3/4 of the way back on the boat where it says, X-30.

What about the saltwater use? I’ve heard a lot of “stay away”, but is there an acceptable amount of saltwater use? How could I confirm the components that might be affected are in sound condition?

Thanks all for the responses and help!
