I got a pm on how I went about fixing popped stitching. I post my response here now in case anyone is interested.

This video is how I learned to do the the repair:

Replaced my gas struts on the engine cover. The old ones were the wrong pressure, 30lbs instead of 60lbs. No wonder the cover never stayed up! Thanks Mike205 for the parts list!

Found JR Products GSNI-5300-60 Gas Spring for $12.10 each...with free shipping. Sweet!

Hey all - new to the TT site. Have a 89 Tristar Barefoot 190 with rebuilt 454, recently purchased a 2016 X2. I'm still getting acquainted with the new boat and have a question:

1) How do you lower the captain seat bolster? Is there a release somewhere, or do I need to simply apply more force? Was afraid to lean on it to hard.

2) When charging both batteries at once using the NOCO G7200, is it best to set the MC battery switch on combine? If so, do you set the charger on 24 Amps?

Thanks in advance for you input. Scott

Finished my led “find my stuff” lighting

All the storage areas now have led lights. I also added one under the dash. The switches are on the left lower part of the dash. One switch does the front bow lights, one does the stern lights and the last does all storage areas.

Hey Guys,

we had a nice Sunday with about 14°C, so time to do some work on the X2.

Washed the Gelcoat with oxalic acid to get away the brown spots and stripes from lying in the water.

Also cleaned the upholstery..

Wish you a good Start

Cmpdman - like the pic with the mesh bags attached to the underside of the seat - very nice idea that I might steal and add to my boat.

Found the intake manifold o-ring for #1 cyl to be cactus. Going up to the local store to see if they have one to suit.
