Disabled Ballast and Wake Plate => Bow Up 2012 X2

New to me Boat and First time forum user

On our lake, we had to disable the Wake Plate and disable and empty the ballast. The 2012 X2 is riding Bow Up and I can't easily get the boat on plane. This boat has the Power Tower.

The Trim DOWN button does not seem to help at all.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Thank you!!

The x2 doesn't have a wake plate. It has a trim tab, called attitude adjustment plate. It engages to make a smaller wake, not larger. If you disabled a plate, you disabled the trim tab, which is why you can't lower the bow.

What speed are you going and the bow stays up? I don’t have a trim plate on my X2; I don’t experience what you’re describing above surf speeds.
I’ll buy your “wake plate” since you can’t use it.

Lake Oswego? I would argue that the center tab is a wake limiting device and should be left alone. Surf tabs on the side should be turned off.

Need more info. Boat will take off and plane out just fine without tabs or ballast. Mines been doing it for 13 years now!
Actually nose lower if rear ballast is empty.

I have yet to see a MasterCraft that hasn't been modified or improperly loaded that couldn't get on plane. You either have a mechanical problem (slipping trans, entirely the wrong prop, etc.) or possibly you have the Perfect Pass set to something like 10 MPH.

A 300+ HP 20' ski/wakeboard boat is going to plane with or without tabs if it isn't broken or being operated improperly.

Rapid wake, you may want to brush up on the workings of your boat too, if you disconnected the trim tab and then expected the trim switch to do something meaningful.
