Go Surf Assist Should I Get It?

My boat is in the shop for some transmission work, so I have decided to go all out and also have them install the Go Surf Assist on my 2013 X35. TT members either confirm that is a good investment or talk me out of it!!!

Currently I use a suckgate and our RPMs are around 3800 (+3k of ballast). Do you think the GSA will be lower RPM and fuel consumption?

You'll be blown away at the system. An awesome investment.

rpm and fuel consumption will not change just the shape of the surf wake

What engine and prop setup do you have in your X-35? My X-30 holds 3,400 lbs of water and I run a 14.75 x 17.5 prop and at surf speed (11 mph), my boat only pulls 2,300 rpm. My boat has the L-18 (496 cu in) engine.

My buddies Malibu VLX (21 footer) holds 4,000 lbs of water and he pulls 3,400 rpm at surf speed. His boat has the 350 cu in motor.

Does anyone know if Go Surf Assist would get me surfing behind a 2008 X-14? It's not the V drive so motor is in the center of the boat. Have built-in ballasts and added fat sacs and Delta Mission but wave is not clean and the Delta Mission keeps flying off, so I am thinking of Go Surf Assist as a last resort. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Yeah Ryan has put them on several DDs including a moomba. I bet it would work awesome with some weight.
