2011 X2 Port Ballast Pump Not Working

I have a 2011 X2 and the port ballast pump stopped working about a week ago. The KGB and the starboard are working fine. When I move the port switch to fill or empty, the red light on the switch comes on for a brief moment then goes off. Also, there is no sound at all coming from the port ballast pump when I switch it on.

I have tried the breakers underneath the dash at the helm but nothing is tripped and nothing is actually related to the ballast pumps.

I have also checked the breakers next to the main electrical shutoff but those are not tripped either.

I don't see anything wrong with the impeller or anything binding it up.

Is there anything in the ballast pump junction box that I need to check?

I was going to try to bypass the relay by hooking up the port pump to the starboard power line but the cables from the relay to the pump drop down deep into the engine compartment and I am not sure if they will reach. Any thoughts? What have I missed or is the relay or pump shot?

Update, the red light on the port switch actually flashes 6 times. I didn't see that before.

I don't know that this translates to your newer one but I think it does. That second to last photo appears to be your ballast control box. The thick red and black cables are the power in and the wires going out of it go to your ballast pumps. Earlier models had breakers you could reset on the box itself. Maybe there are some on the underside? Pull the plugs that go to the ballast pumps and see if you get 12V when you flip the switches. You should see the polarity reverse as you go to fill and empty. If all three work, then you probably have a bad pump. If one doesn't work then you need to open the box and check for bad relays and such.

Thanks Keith. My dealer asked about the breakers but I was not sure if he was talking about the breakers on the main power switch or on this box but, I can not find any breakers on the exterior of the box. I went and double checked after reading your post thinking I might have missed them but I don't think there are any on the box. Do you think they would be inside the box? I tried looking up the schematic for the box but not much luck.

I did find a troubleshooting matrix for the 18500 series control box and it mentions that six blinks means that it has reached the timer limit. It also describes what each of the number of blinks means.

From this it sounds like I need to reset the timer? I found several posts about resetting timers on here that say the same thing as the link above.

Well, after trying to reset the timers, the switch is now flashing twice. Which it says is high amp draw caused by the line being blocked or the pump being stalled.

Took it to the dealer today. The pump was shot.

That makes sense. Hope it wasn't too expensive but at least the issue is solved.
