No it is not closed cooled, just a new name 7000 for the same engine. It is still the same MPI as the 5000

Larry, based on this Facebook post it was introduced in Miami. Look forward to MC announcing it will be I their boat. This will be in my next boat.....

Interesting, it looks like they dropped HP with the closed cooling.. Pretty engine!

Stock prop, I can rocket on plane with 3500 pounds of ballast and 4 people in he boat. Really suprised at how well the auto launch works with the 5.7

i've got an x10 with the 5.7 and extra bags to go 1000lbs of ballast over stock. the auto launch is amazing. i've had 13 adults in the boat loaded with ballast, 2 fully loaded 100+ liter coolers, and had no struggles getting on plane. i was impressed.
