my x23 has a black hull and deck. i think the little wear and tear type scratches are more annoying than the water spots, and our lake has some hard a** water. i have a ceramic coating so the water spots come off easily.

for me the dream is to have a dark interior hull, but the top of the deck white. i like that the dark inside the boat hides dirt and other debris.

sunscreen is enemy of dark interiors.

Congrats and enjoy late season splash. Looking forward to the X24 comparison to your new XStar.

You make me feel better about my boat habit, or enabled, or both.

Probably not the right area to inquire about this ceramic coating, but what is it? Our x24 should be showing up at the dealer this week! Going to be tough looking at it in the garage all winter!

I went with the 6.2 also, had it in our x45 and absolutely loved it, even with 16 people!

Google it. Basically the best wax you can buy and it lasts forever. Itís not a wax but itís the same concept. Wax on steroids doesnít begin to explain it

My black hulled boat with a ceramic coating was easier to keep clean than a white hulled boat without.

I have no relationship with glidecoat but there product was awesome and really affordable. They make as small as 80 ml bottles which should be enough for the x24. You may have to call them to get smaller bottles though. They are very helpful when you call. You should be able to get what you need for your boat for $100. My dealer charges $1,500 for it and thatís cheap compared to other places. Itís an easy DIY project.

I'd never heard of ceramic coating either, but all over it now after doing a little reading. I'll definitely be putting it on my boat this winter.
