Murphy has a softball sized tumor on his spleen and others in his abdomen. The vet is coming by early this afternoon to put him down....my wife, daughters and I will be at his side. Part of the cycle every dog owner signs up for but never seems like we get enough time...RIP Murph
So very sorry to hear of your loss of Murphy. They are with us for such a relatively short time. Each dog is so individual and has their own funny quirks and an occasional bad/silly issue.

A thought for your family to remember Murphy by. .... When our last Golden (Riley) passed away we started a simple sheet of "things And moments we remember about Riley". It made us feel good to talk about all the fun time and get everyone involved in all the great memories.

After the vet left we watched family home videos from the day we brought him home going forward........we did lots of reminiscing.

Also, my hunting buddies emailed some pictures of past hunts... lots of great memories to help heal....
