Runs rough over 3,000 rpm after hitting a double up

Boat has been running well until I hit a double up. The boat immediately starting running rough with check engine light came on. We were able to idle home. We have changed plugs, wires, fuel pump, cap and rotors. It has been on a computer with no codes appearing. Check engine lights comes on after 3,000 rpm. Any help would be great. Boating vacation coming up. Thanks

1998? check fuel pickup - you may be getting air in the fuel pickup line and check screen on fuel pump.. if that does not work - check fuel lines.. ethanol hell on those.

Fuel line is clear. My buddy bypassed the gas to diagnose that component. Any idea of common circuit for fuel injectors as they are spurting at 3000 rpm. Any thoughts. A strong jolt caused the problem.

wow that is strange.. were you able to check fuel pressure at 3K rpm.. could be the fuel pressure regulator..

Problem solved. Electro magnetic field interference from a broken wire from the alternator behind the coupler. Remember, the problem started immediately after hitting a hard double up. Thanks for all your help. B
