Wow... that's nearly a carbon copy. The nose looks slightly different, but otherwise they might as well just use mastercraft as a private label manufacturer and slap their name on it for a fee. I know for a fact MC has patented those racks that hold the skis the way they do, they should have fun with that lawsuit. Who knows what other design patents they hold that they can sue for. I hope they do, Malibu completely ripped them off.

I thought a competition tow boat had to be 20' or less. True/false?

The basic design elements of DD slalom boats have looked alike for 40+ years. This wake appears non existent. Much prefer the MC PS aesthetically, but gotta give props to bu on this one.

I think, its just what is submitted, to the approval committee. Here's for 2016. http://www.usawaterski.org/pages/Tou...ntTowboats.pdf

However, some lakes, may have length limits. Looks like, Malibu discontinued the LXR.

False I'd say since the 214 was approved in '07 and '08.

I got a chance to ski this boat about a week ago. All I can say is WOW! I'm not the greatest skier but 15off at 34mph it was softer through the wakes than the current Prostar, so I'm willing to bet it only gets better from there.
Also the bow is actually usable.
Didn't get a chance to pull anyone in the course but overall the boat drove really well too. Nice work Malibu.
Prostar still has the best ski storage IMO. Love those racks.

One of the clubs I'm a member at has been running Malibu's for years and will be getting a new one in April. Pretty sure they were quoted $52K That's probably a bare bones promo price with a little discount thrown in as we will be hosting the Eastern Regionals this year.

The ski racks were what screamed knock off to me.
