Battery tender set for two batteries

Hello all - we have a 2018 XT21 with two batteries and I'd like to use an aftermarket battery tender. Which battery do I hook it up to ...or does it matter? Thank you!

I use a "Battery Tender" charger, cost about $50

This is the newer version of my charger

I put the positive lead on one battery and the negative lead on the other. I have been successfully doing this for about 5 years. Seems to work fine. From 2015 to date on our X23. And for many years on our 2006 X30. Both boats had dual batteries.

Id suggest a 2 bank on board multi stage smart charger, with each bank connected DIRECTLY to a bank. Main switch remains off, charger takes care of each battery independently.

This right here:
https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GEN2-Wat.../dp/B003JSJS5I
2 bank 20 amp or 2 bank 8 amp is whichever you prefer
NOCO is worth the extra money as, like MLA said, its a multi stage smart charger than keeps your batteries in tip top shape
