What did you do for the Eclipse?

We took the crew out to the lake to do a little 'footin.

Dead clam duing the peak of the eclipse...awesome!

We had about 85% here in northern Indiana.

I pulled off the I-5 Freeway at Camp Pendleton CA.
Not much to see without the special glasses.
But I did get to see our Navy and Marines doing some co-op trainer.
Equally memorable for me.

Went to my daughter's school and watched it with her. My wife was terrified she'd take her glasses off. We had 98% here. It got dim, but never dark. Pretty amazing that 2% of the sun could still light everything up like that.

I was thinking the same thing !! But then again , the sky is still pretty bright just after the sun drops each day.... so there we have it

Down at Norris Lake TN with some friends. Pretty cool to hear dead silence from the bugs during the eclipse...

Drove from my house (near Boulder, CO) to a bit north of Scottsbluff, Nebraska to get into the path of totality.

Lots of news coverage, and predictions of traffic Armageddon that I think made people decide to stay home and live with 95%. It didn't turn out to be a disaster for me, although it was for others.

All I can say is that if you have an opportunity to see a solar eclipse from the path of totality, even if it isn't "easy", do it.

There is something absolutely magical about that moment when you go from 99.9% to totality. Wow!!!

Watched it at my wife's old school Austin Peay in Clarksville TN. The quiet of the animals was replaced by the sounds of the kids and adults shouting that's awesome or it' so cool. I really liked the break from the heat
