'16 X2 Ballast Bags overflow elbows hit the rear compartment brackets?

See pics, purchased a new X2 and the piggy back sack vent elbows are directly aligned with the rear locker brackets/gas shock. They fill out the compartments perfectly so it is hard to re-position them much in any direction. As you can see I kinda rolled them to the out sides of the boat which helps but then the don't purge the air out or fill completely. Twice one side completely ripped the threaded connection out of the sac. Anyone had this issue? Any suggestions?

You should be able to adjust the position of the bag (when empty) so it will fill in a different position. Try to reposition the bottom of the ballast bag (focus on the corners and edges).

Mine is the same. I have bags positioned so overflow is in center. Took 1 minute off of timer so not pushing on strut. If we want them completely full I finish them off manually.

Bump, Currious if there are any other solutions? (Rotatebags and notch the underside of the top deck for example )

These are the standard Gen2 additional bags correct? How much weight is each rear bag adding to the boat? Thanks.

I had the standard Gen2 which were 350 lbs, but ended up putting 450 sumos in, the overflow ports are offset and alleviated the issue and I can also get another 30-60secs of fill with these.

Dealer did call Mastercraft for me and their recommendation was same as above, take a minute off, i would have done that but randomly found these sacs in the classifieds on here and they work great

Bump for old thread.............. Great information! Is there any way you could post a photo of your bags filled on each side? I would love to do this over the winter. Where did you locate your vent fitting?

Do your new bags fill completely? Mine vent from the front and seem to trap a lot of air in the center so I'm not getting full ballast weight. However they do not come in contact with the lid shock mount. Maybe they have been switched already? Do these look like stock (Gen2 retrofit) bags?

I was thinking of turning the bags around venting from the back to see if it fills completely. Any suggestions?
