No I didn't. Thought about it, but after we installed the attitude adjustment plate that really cleaned up the wave.

What did you run the center tab at? I leave mine at 0 but haven't even thought about dropping it.

I have a 2014 x 2 with gen 1 and 450 PNP in each rear locker. Weird because I have room to spare back there even when 100% full.

I'm interested in how a center tab helps the surf wave. Any pictures of with and without?

Anywhere from 0 to 15%. Usually 0 unless we have too much weight in the rear. Maybe your 2014 has more room than our 2009? If you have more room I would use a bigger bag.

I also found our wave was slightly better by not using the center /front ballast.

So you think just having the tab even at 0% deployment helped the wake. I guess I can see it helping the wake clear the platform and making it cleaner. My surf program runs the front tank full and the the rear side selected full. I haven't messed with it much.

Just having the center tab there cleans up the prop wash. Before we added it to our boat our wave was washy. It doesn't have to be deployed to help...

When you have time to mess around, try no ballast in the front with 5-10 percent center tab and see if that improves the wave. My guess is it will make it taller and cleaner.

I assume you aren't running gen2 and listing the boat?

550lbs = 65.8gal
400lbs = 47.8 gal.

you likely have the 400's in the lockers.

'08-9 X2 stock is 550lbs total - 150, port/starboard and 250 KGB - They make a specific 400 rear locker bag. This was increased I think to 750 in '10 or '11.
