Soon we will be hosting Saturday pond hockey or in our case, since none of us can really skate very well it is more like slow motion crash into each other while attempting to hit a hockey puck!!!
AH GOOD TIMES and yes, everyone is invited so I will let you know when the ice is thick enough.

April 10, 2014 Update: Been a while but back on track with basement.

I know you have all been wondering, what ever happened to my basement project, now that the house construction was done, so as not to disappoint!!!!

I pretty much took the winter off from the project (shocker I know) and chose instead to play outside in the never ending snow with my son. Yes, I worked on it here and there but it just was not a priority. So, now that mud season has arrived and I am looking ahead to landscaping and other projects, it was time to kick the basement back into gear.

So, here are is where things stand and a few pics:
1) Framing done.
2) Bathroom plumbed and shower stall in place.
3) Electrical done last week.
4) Drywall going up (I am not doing this as quite frankly I am not good at it).
5) Drywall should all be hung by later today and finishing will begin Friday.
6) 42" gas fireplace in (that should have gone in one of the steps above).

Next up, the 30'x50' toy box!!!

Enjoy.

Looking good sir! I know how you feel about the drywall. I will hang drywall but I hate the mudding and taping part and when I did my basement, that was the only part I didn't do. Oh, and painting...

That boy is ready to barefoot!!

The little man is in training already as I have him hold onto a handle while I pull him around the kitchen floor (serves 2 purposes really as it also cleans the floor if I spray his socks with Pledge!!!)

Toy box construction begins in 3 weeks so the boat and truck will have a nice new home all to themselves (along with a whole bunch of other stuff that needs to get inside)!!!

I have a feeling the large toy box will not look so large once everything gets inside. Scheduled to go inside:
1) Boat
2) Truck
3) Skidsteer
4) Truck snowplow
5) Skidsteer snowplow
6) Snowmobile trailer
7) Equipment trailer
8) Zero turn
9) Workbench
10) Misc. stuff

I am think some pallet racking will be in order to stack the snowplows and get some misc. stuff up to provide floor space, but we will see.

Ya the man! I will keep you posted but I am think just 1 section that is 10 foot wide with 2 shelves. I would need one of the shelves to be able to support about 1,000lbs.
