I just noticed something, I was looking at your speedo pick-ups in the last photo. One of the bases is grey and one is black. We have an '83 as well, and our pick-ups are exactly the same!
One is grey and one is black! I wonder if they came factory that way?? Anyone else find this on their boats?

The originals were grey. I think Airguide changed to black later. You probably have a later model replacement.

Definitely looks like there isn't as much "froth" as the typical wake of that boat.

TPH, do you have any pictures of your swim platform? It looks to be solid not constructed with “slats”.

It's a "functional" Platform constructed of marine plywood, fiberglass, and carpet. Not as attractive as teak, but great for slipping into skis, boards or whatever and sliding into the water. I still have the stock platform, which is in great shape from the days when MC had boat contests at the annual west coast reunion.
