2005 X-2 PP Will not engage

I have a 2005 X-2 and my perfect pass is reading RPM but not speed and will not engage in any mode (RPM or Speed). My Analog guage is not work either so I assumed it was the paddlewheel signal. When I removed the paddlewheel I discovered that it was getting less than 2 vdc and therefore probably does not have the minimum required voltage.
At this point my questions are... are the guage and paddlewheel powered from the same source, do they have a fuse and how do they tie into the perfect pass?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2005?

Sure others here will have solid ideas, but in the past I have had good success with Perfect Pass customer support. Just call them. It's their system, know exactly how to troubleshoot, and have any necessary parts available.

No way you should get 2vdc. look at the ground and hot distribution behind the console.make sure everything's tight and the voltage is getting distributed. then troubleshoot the pp.

Thanks, That's my plan for tomorrow evening. I was not sure how it all ties together but I assume that the paddle wheel gets its power from the gauge then the temp and speed signal are returned. Then the perfect pass just jumps in and uses that signal. What's interesting is that the tach is stuck at 500 rpm but the PP is getting that signal and will not take over when set in RPM mode.
First order of business is to figure out the speedometer issue.

On a DBW MCX engine, I would ask if the cap was on the DLC connector with the wire loop that PP provides, without the cap an MCX will not engage!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by DLC connector?

I have confirmed that the wire loop and cap is on the connector. I'm hoping that the new paddle wheel solves my issue. Maybe PP will not operate without all of the signals. (Tach and speed)
I tested the paddle wheel with it hooked up to a 12v battery and had a constant 12v on the output (green) it did not alternate 12 & 0 like it should.
Once I've got the new one in and working if the PP is still not engaging I will call them for help.

Did you just add PP or has it always been on the boat? If you just added it, you need to reflash your ECM via Diacom. I have a 2005 X-2, it came from factory with MC Cruise, I later added PP, reflashed ECM, still had a bit of a problem, had to run a new ground wire to negative of battery. Works perfect now. Call PP, they will help! Did I mention.....Call PP....

It appears to have been added prior to me buying the boat. I say that because the boat does have MC cruise installed. I can only assume whom ever installed it got it working at some point. I wish I knew the history but that would make it too easy.
Calling perfect pass.... Got it.
