fuel filter

Just finished winterizing, going to replace fuel line from tank to fuel filter. I have an old fram with a cartridge and gasket. Would like to replace it with a spin on type. What do you guys recommend?

I used this:

I had to make a bracket out of angle iron to mount it the way I wanted, but no big problem

How did you mount it? I'm curious as I will be installing this in my boat in spring. Any pictures?

I didn't take any pics during the work, but I'll try to get one this weekend. I had to pull the boat out for the winter, and will be winterizing sometime in the next few days. I really need to move south....

Yes, the specs for Sierra 18-7845 say it's a 21 micron water separating fuel filter. However, it's not the only fuel filter in my Tristar; it has a filter element on the fuel pump as well. Here's a pic showing the angle bracket I made to mount it:

Sorry for the delay in posting the pic; my plans to winterize last week got interrupted...
