Winterized and travel question

I have a '94 prostar 190 that I winterized myself, but I was curious if it would be ok if I winterized my boat at my house and then brought it 2 hours via towing to our cottage garage where we store it. Anything to be concerned about or things that I should think through? Always appreciate the insights here!!!!

No reason not to take it on a road trip for it's long winter nap. Did you fill the block with RV anti-freeze or go the dry block method.

As long as the boat is winterized properly, where its stored for its winter nap is irrelevant. Just make sure the trailer is travel ready.

If you have greased wheel bearings, it would be good to flush out all the old grease with new. Easy to do if you have bearing buddies.

one thing to be aware of is rodents such as mice. put some kind of poison down such as D-con. they can cause a lot of damage.

We winterized up at the dealer last year and drove home witrh antifreeze in block...no issues.

Make sure every hose has been drained and is un-done on your travel to shake any remaining water that may still be in the block or bilge area...

Tape your exhaust flaps shut once you get up to the storage spot...will help keep rodents out.

Which motor do you have?

I go antifreeze route, much easier for my so that I don't have to worry about every last drop of water. I have the standard 350 Chevy efi engine. Sounds like I should be ok, thanks for the comments!

I learned that my insurance coverage was affected if the boat was moved a certain distance, might want to call your insurance company to confirm nothing will change depending upon the location of your boat:
