Did you replace the wires with "Taylor 8mm? If you did, where did you get them? They are IMHO the be about the best wires. Pricey though.

Yes got the Taylors from Inboard online. $52 bucks

Wanted to showcase my most recent project. Though it isn't a Mastercraft, I feel it's related. Picked up a rough condition first gen Grinch Winch about a month ago, and finished it Monday night. Finished it just in time for the rain to come. Stripped down the old coating, and painted it, replaced severely rusted parts & hardware, and major overhaul on the Subaru. I was going to paint the gas tank and exhust, but I'm too excited to try it out. Debut has been pushed back to Friday afternoon, and I am interested to hear any tips you have as I've never used a winch!
