Is there some sort of one-way valve on the garden hose connection? When you turn the hose on, what keeps the water from just flowing back through the strainer and out through the inlet in the hull?

Boat came with a brass ball valve where the intake hose enters the hull. You can't see it in the picture - it sits right below the strainer. Turn on the water supply, start the boat and shut the valve - great for letting it warm up for winterizing/de-winterizing. Open the valve, turn off the boat and kill the water supply - done. Had this same set-up on my previous MasterCraft for 20 years.

My MC came with a pylon extension (Fly Hi) but I don't have an idea of the hook-up at the bow. Can you get me some picture of how that gets attached?

You just wrap the nylon strap around the nose of the boat through the bow eye and then clip the clevis that is attached to the straps coming off the pylon on to it. Then you shut the clamp that puts tension on it. You do have to set the cable length so that when you shut that clamp it is very tight.

That strap is the part I don't have. I suppose I could just get a ratchet strap, but I think that would look kind of makeshift. (MCOCD). Guess I'll have to break down and buy one.
Thanks for your reply though.......

Search endless lifting straps on mcmaster.com You want a 6' length with the way they show length which is actually 12' of strap.
