Subwoofer encloure

After 4.5 seasons, my A Trend Slammer box has given up and separated. The "truck liner" material has also failed at the seams This material is actually pretty thin and paper/sheet like, not the thick material I have experienced on a LineX style truck bed.

Don't get me wrong, 4.5 seasons is acceptable from a life standpoint given a $125 price point and it hits pretty hard.
135 db in open air at 5'

I run 2 Kicker L7 15" subs positioned on the starboard side of my direct drive Maristar 240sc.
It is downward firing with about 6" legs. Rockford Power T1500.1bd provides the push.

The A Trend Slammer box width of 17" is about as wide as I can go but the current length of 40" and height (depth) of 16" could be expanded some if needed.

Anyone have experience on the difference between A Trend Slammer vs SPL boxes or Q Power's Q Bomb?

Other options with similar dimensions? Debating if simply finishing a felt box with resin might work as well but this option seems like more finish work involved unless the gains will be significant?

Expecting some suggestions for a "custom" box but what kind of options would outperform a simple straight sided box?
Don't want a burp box but some boom over pure linearity would not make me cry.
