Technically no, person to person to save some tax. But they did a consignment check on it and had been really good lining things up and working with me, as well the previous owner.

Is the OP any closer to a decision?

I'm getting there it's just hard with the limited ability to test all the boats, I would like people to compare the x2 (what I'm used to) to an x30, is the x30 wake better in every way? Does the x2 have any advantages over the x30? I think x30 is where I'm headed for the fact of the adjustability of the wake, but another x2 is seeming like not such a bad option either. Really looking for a comparison between an x2 and x30 would be great

I've surfed/wakeboarded them both and my neighbor has an X2 and I have the X30

The X2 is very capable in both areas. It is almost one year ago I made this identical decision.

So specific to the wake. The 30 is a physically bigger boat by all aspects...23ft versus 20, 27" draft versus 29" beam difference of another 6" (96 vs 102)... Capacity 1446 vs 2219... Weight 4300 vs 4700 lbs... Extra 15 gallons of fuel weight...

The storage is where the bigger difference is... The X30 is 107cubic ft versus 76... But that doesn't tell the fat sac -> ballast delta...The 30 you can put 1100's in the rear lockers, 750 under each bench and 260's under each bow cushion...the X2 is about 1/2 those weights except the bow where it's the a bit better or the same.

So these are just factual stats and real world realities...

My personal opinion is that dispute the delta in capacities and size, the X2 delivers a very decent surf wake and wakeboard wake. I enjoyed surfing / wake boarding behind one this summer.

My preference is my boat for surfing and the X2 for wakeboarding at my skill level and it's better looks (pickle fork my pref) curb appeal but overall the wake is just bigger with the X30 because of the sheer combined weight, draft and beam differences. Nearly twice the space for ballast ...

Didn't OP say you often have 10 people in the boat? If so you're are choosing between the X-2 and X-30, I'd recommend the X-30 by a wide margin. The X-2 is a great boat, but the only advantage I see it having over the X-30 is if you need or want the smaller size and you can probably get one cheaper. With any more than 5-6 people on and X-2 I would get a little claustrophobic, but I have a low tolerance for crowded boats. IMO the wake on the X-30 is better for both wakeboarding and surfing than the X-2 as well.

Shavo how many times are you going to post on this same subject? Go ride behind them

Brutally brutally brutally honest, here it goes. Unless all you do is tube and surf thats all the x-2 is good for. Terrible wakeboard wake.

X-30 looks good for boarding and surfing but it appears you need a minimum 3000 lbs to make it worth while.

X-25. Wakeboards better with just stock ballast, and surfs very well with another 1000 lbs.

Pretty much sums up those three boats.

What about the ski wake on x30, x10 & x2? I currently have an x2 without the plate and the ski wake sucks. Was going to step up to the new x10. If the ski wake on the x30 is better than the x10 I might go that route. Price is just a couple thousand more.

I think for all the things you plan to use your boat for, the X-30 would be a great fit. There is a member on here who owns an X-2 and he test drove the 25 and the 30 and he was most impressed with the 30 not only for it's surfing and wakeboarding ability but for how well it handled and nicely it drove.

I agree with bambamski1 on most of his points. I think the X-30 wakeboard wake is a more mellow wake, similar to a 3rd Gen Xstar/Bu wake. It can however handle a ton of weight and get quite big. The X-25 is a steeper wake (more like a CC or even a Supra) and requires less ballast to get to a really nice size/shape.

Below is an X-30 wake with just the stock 1k running at about 21mph. I will say that if you prefer to wakeboard at higher speeds like 24-25, the X-30 is not "great" at those speeds. It really is the best in the 19-23 range, but is still clean down to 17.
