Emblem removal

So I romoved my old mastercraft emblems on the fenders and the transom. I wetsanded my fenders with 1000 1200 1500 2000 and buffed out with rotary finesse 2. The fenders came out super nice but where the emblem was you can see the Mastercraft still. Its slight How do you get rid of this. Its not like ghosting where the gel is a different color, its more like its visable in gelcoat but dosn't feel raised? Anyways I have the same issue on my rear transom so what do you suggest I do to get rid of this problem?

Wetsand one smaller section to see if it will go away. If it doe, then proceed with the rest. If you started with 1000, you may have to go down to 800 to start taking off a little more gel coat. Will pictures do it any justice?

What causes it to look raised? Is it the UV rays over time?
