Why would you pick up an RMK for the UP? Pretending you are in the mountains?

Nice 509's. I run the Chris Burandt Sinister 509's and love them. How are the aviators? New for you this year?

Only ride off trail up there on the occasions we go. Hoping to head west this season as well.

Find the right spots and you'll easily stick a mountain sled in the UP.

The other reason people pick RMK versus say a Switchback is the chassis setup and handling in powder. The switchback is wider and has a different steering post angle.

Snow is no problem in the UP. In some instances the annual snowfall amounts can get close to that of the mountains due to the great lakes impact.

I'm just saying if you ride the UP an RMK is not optimal imho. Ski stance too narrow. And yes though there is plenty of deep snow, you hardly need a 163" to get through it. I ride a 136" and almost never get stuck. The pack is different in the UP.

I logged over 1100 miles last season and do 50/50 on and off trail so I guess if you are dedicated to finding the steep and deep then I get why you grabbed the RMK.

At least its a Polaris

Snow is starting to fall up here! WoooHoooo!!
Too bad the boat never left the shop this year but got 2 fan cooled machines long tracked for the kids and a deck for the pick em up so I can haul all 4 machines with my 2 place trailer.

Let it snow!
