Will it fit? (tower height question)

Yet another garage door height question, sorry !

I want to add a ND tower to my 99 PS205 DD, single axle trailer. The garage door height is 7' on the mark. When I use the dolly to push it in there is 9.5" clearance above the windshield.

How much does this tower stick above the windshield folded forward? Any other options like fold backwards. Is the top half too heavy to take off and lay in the back?

So far the reply from ND is that it was designed to fit this door. Is that without letting all the air out of the tires

thanks

I'm just glad to see you're keeping that great looking boat. Definitely hope for some 1st hand experience, b/c based on this picture, it looks like it's a tight fit:

Thanks, yes I am in the 'same boat' as many here with kids wanting to wakeboard, etc. The X-2 looks like a nice option for us but the slalom experience is not even close imho. So a tower may be the solution.

I dug up this old thread but still would like to know the clearance. Pushing the boat in by hand would be a challenge.

i have the same tower. I believe you will have to fold down the two arms each time as seen on the above photo, which is not that difficult, but certainly an inconvenience. I do not believe you can fold tower backward.

It looks like your garage door can come up higher, too. I had to adjust my limit switches so it came up as high as my door header.

That inch and a quarter extra will make a huge difference. Great point Cam.

I will check for you this evening or tomorrow night. Sorry for lag, have not been on here in a bit. At first glance in the garage though it looks higher than 9.5in, closer to a foot, but I could be wrong. I will check ASAP. Curriculum night at kiddos school. I also gain a little bit due to the way my drive way slopes. Taking the tower apart (aside from folding down the small arm sections) is not something you're going to want to mess with.

I had a very similar tower on my PS 205 as the ND and had the same size door. There was a little slack in the door, so I just put a 2 gal gas can between the wall and the end of the door to give me another couple inches and had no problem. I did fold it forward and the lower rear legs down like the picture above shows. It wasn't that big of a deal to me. It was much easier than the tower on my current boat. I would get a ND tower if I could justify it.
