how to refresh speaker grills

I have a MB Quart Knight Rider Pro Series tower speaker system with lights and the grills on the speakers are looking their age (11 years) with hint of discolouring from weather and rust. Any tips on how to refresh? I have read about metal polish, T9 etc, do these products work? Or, should I just paint them?

Don't paint. Prep the grills properly with steel wool or an adhesive promoter and use a SEM spray can automotive dye product. Your local auto body shop supplier will serve you well.
