Needed to replace the wood grain that was on my dash, but hate wood grain so I was planning on a grey vinyl whenever I get around to putting in new gauges. Was at Mexican Depot the other day and walked by the Plasti-Dip display and they had a grey that was close to what I was thinking. I thought it would be a fine temporary measure until I get to doing it right. It turned out well enough that I just might leave it. I plan on white face gauges including new white faces for the Airguides.

I took the opportunity to polish and wax the steering wheel too.

I took the beat up old decals off my B.I. Fly High and replaced them. It turns out white wasn't the best choice....it kind of washes out against the stainless. Looks like I have to talk with my vinyl guy.

Dash looks good!
I'd leave the pole naked... but that's just me.

Figured out why my 1 year old actuator dumped fluid on the ground and brakes aren't working. Pipe thread nipple between the reverse solenoid and the master cylinder had pulled out the aluminum um threads. Looked to me that master cylinder threads weren't cut deep enough. Tore it apart, rethreaded, put all back together.

Put new plugs in because it was running rough; just doing things one by one. Ran good for 30-40 min last night, then it started running rough again and was flooding over. We were just about to pull the carb out, but my dad noticed the choke cover was loose and spinning around... Took it off and flipped the metal bracket/washer around, put it back on and now it doesn't spin. Hoping that fixes it because we don't have much more season left...

If it is flooding over, you might not be able to quickly resolve that without getting into the carb. If you do go the carb route, and want to be sure to have it running for this season yet, pay the extra few bucks for new floats to bypass to possibility of having a rebuilt carb with a bad float. As far as time goes, putting together a clean carb only takes about 20 minutes. The longer wait is for 24 hours of soak time. Let me know if you need a hand. Good luck.

Dash looks AWESOME! I have the same steering wheel, but its like dull, not shiny chrome like yours, I think ours is aluminum!
