Aren't you do for an upgrade soon Scott? just sayin'

I would say if you are worried about fuel consuption then go with the 6.2L. The 6.0L seems to be pretty thirsty for this boat.

How much more is a 6.2 percentage wise... not that I could ever afford one of these..

Ha. Spent some time with the 46... Beautiful boat, i love it. But there honestly isn't a big enough difference between the 45 to justify a 50k upgrade.

Is anyone tracking fuel consumption on their boats with either of these engines? I don't know how much more $$ the 6.2 is - I was told I would want it, so I ordered it. I'm averaging about 4.7 gal/hr in out X-25 with the 6.2 in it over the first 100 hours. That is wakeboarding, surfing and cruising. We always seem to have a crowd in it, but I'm not sacked out - factory ballast only. I'm pretty happy with the performance and fuel use in it.
