Yep, bottle jacks on an unstable road shoulder are not the way I want to go......

When I first read post, I thought you said "I carry a star wrench and little bottle of jack."

I like it - what I would change is the light.

I'd use this hat light, similar to the one i attach to my ball cap when I grill or am walking to the deer stand:

Floor jack. Can't do anything without out one. That's a great kit. Now if I could just find a trailer . . .

And yes, blowouts come in pairs.

I carry a star wrench and a 16" length of 4x4 - all you need for a tandem tire change. I have also used the corner curb of an island in a parking lot too on a friend's trailer when he had nothing but his truck jack - takes just minutes to do a tire.

Bumping this for peak season travel. Once again, thanks TT. A bit less pucker factor on a road trip.

Good bump moosehead.

A reminder to check any lug wrench to ensure they work with your wheels.

Glad I'm not the only one who gets paranoid when a boat is following too closely.

In addition to the great stuff here, hard to believe that so many other big boats are seen on the road with only the winch strap holding her down to the trailer. First mod we did was bolt HD ratchet tie downs to the trailer for both transom and bow eye locations.

Stay safe out there folks. Only thing worse than being somewhere without your MC, is leaving her skating across the roadway.
