I have not been down there in a number of years. Spent many a nice evening down on the James in the past though. We do most of our boating/riding on Lake Anna now.

Jimmy Dean's--used to cruise up that far on occasion to check out his yacht, "Big Bad Bart"...

I filled the factory port and kgb tanks and put a 600 lb bag in the middle in the back and another next to it over the port tank. Did not fill the starboard tank.

Here's a video from yesterday.

Still learning, as this is our first summer of wakesurfing. I've had a couple of good long runs (this isn't one of them) where I could really feel the push from the wave. The challenge so far has been holding it - I tend to slip out the back of the wave. I'm working on weight distribution to keep pushing forward, but (as you'll see in this video), I creep up on the boat, panic a bit, shift weight to the back too much, and slip out of the wave.

But it's fun to learn!

Some specs for those who are studying waves.

This is on an X-55. KGB and port tanks full. A 750 lb sac in port locker and a 750 in the bow (aisleway). Couple of people sitting on the port side (including the person holding the GoPro on a stick).

To give you a feel for the wave size, that's a big board - Inland Surfer Blue Lake. And I'm pretty tall - 6'3" and go about 220.

Feel free to share any advice.

I'm rather impressed with your starboard wave.

Me too, for some reason starboard is better than port. I just haven't found the set up for it yet and I ride goofy. So it took precedence on tuning

I have found that weighting 60%/40% all in rear corner from corner to center. If that makes sense is the best way.
