I've never cared for the looks o these but they have a ton of room - there was a 190 wraparound on my lake a few years ago and the consistently had 10 people in that boat.

You guys might laugh, but one of those in good condition, low hours for cheap - add a tower and I think that would make a pretty fun family boat!

There's a 190 walkaround in the craigslist/ebay thread for 4000 that needs an interior. In Michigan and there's an offer to run check it out if anyone is interested. Love the seating in those for entertaining. It's kind of like a mix of a deck boat, little seadoo/yamaha jet boat, and add in a skiable wake with reasonable tracking and a great engine. What's not to like? I'd say not first choice for any one thing, but high on the list for everything.

Jim at Bay area water sports had one of these up for sale just recently. May still have it.

10 is a bit ambitious, IMO. Still a very functional layout. Just butt ugly. I'd apologize to Monte but he left the room long ago.

Why is that?

I think it's because it doesn't have a flat bottom like the 190 does. When you look at it from the rear there's horizontal curve to the bottom of the hull, and not much of a keel. It sort of looks like a barrel stave.

I've got one of these, 1986 TriStar 220, I like the layout, good family boat. Holds lots of people in front, nice to share the drivers seat.
Planning to add a tower, haven't achieved a good surf wake yet, using 2 x 55gal drums, one on swim platform the other where back seat sits.
I can think of a few design flaws but we like the boat!
